Oats are a grain cereal that is obtained from the herbaceous plant of the Avena sativa, belonging to the Graminaceae family.

Oat flour is used for multiple preparations,both sweet and savoury: first courses, porridge, desserts, cakes...

Also ideal for bread making: you can find many recipes of homemade bread, pizza or focaccia made with oat flour.

Rich in beneficial properties for the body: Oat Flour has a high fiber content and is source of protein.

Oat flour: perfect for bakery and dessert recipes

Ruggeri oat flour can be used to make different baked goods than usual and to characterize bread, pizzas and focaccias mixing it with soft wheat flour. Ruggeri oat flour is also suitable for recipes for sweet breakfasts, like oat pancakes, or oat porridge.

Oatmeal Pancake Recipe

Ingredients: 120/130 g of Ruggeri Oat Flour - 125 ml of milk - 1 egg - 30 g of sugar - 2 tablespoons of oil - 8 g of baking powder

Procedure: mix the flour, sugar and yeast in a bowl. Add the milk, egg and oil, mixing well until the mixture is smooth. Preheat a non-stick pan and pour in the mixture with a ladle. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, flip the pancake and cook for another 2/3 minutes. Serve with honey, jam or hazelnut spread.
